BRAND NEW SINGLE SET TO PREMIERE IN JANUARY
NEW ALBUM FORTHCOMING ON RCA RECORDS/SONY LATIN IBERIA
(December 17, 2013 — New York, NY) Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, philanthropist, and global recording artist Shakira announces today that she will be releasing her next album through Sony Music Entertainment and is her first with RCA. The brand new album will be released on RCA/Sony Latin Iberia due out early 2014, with the album’s first single targeted for release in January.
Shakira is currently in the studio working on her forthcoming album, following her stint as a coach on NBC’s The Voice on the show’s most highly rated season yet. Shakira is set to reclaim the coach throne in the spring season of 2014.

About Shakira:
Over the course of her career, Colombian singer-songwriter and Grammy winner Shakira has sold over 60 million records worldwide and has won numerous awards including two Grammys, eight Latin Grammys, four World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and five Billboard Music Awards, to name a few. She is the only artist from South America to have a number one song in the US, and has had four of the 20 top-selling hits of the last decade.
